Living History: The Necropolis of Las Aguilillas
Just a few minutes from here, you can travel back in time. The Necropolis of Las Aguilillas is a unique archaeological site with rock-cut tombs dating back more than 4,000 years.
The experience: A gentle circular hiking route (around 1.5–2 km), perfect for families.
The highlight: The views from the promontory where the tombs are located are spectacular, overlooking the reservoirs and the Sierra de Peñarrubia.
Viewpoint Route: The World at Your Feet
If you love photography or simply sitting and gazing at the horizon, these are our must-see spots:
Three Reservoirs Viewpoint: One of the few places in the world where you can see the meeting point of three reservoirs (Conde de Guadalhorce, Guadalhorce, and Guadalteba).
Tajo de la Encantada Viewpoint: From here, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the village of El Chorro and the end of the Caminito del Rey.
Sillón del Rey: Not just a viewpoint, but a historic stone monument from which King Alfonso XIII signed the completion of the works.
Other Outdoor Sports
Our surroundings form Málaga’s “Active Triangle.” If you’re looking for even more adventure, we can guide you with:
Rock Climbing in El Chorro: One of Europe’s leading destinations for climbers.
